CoraB x Baubles Midnights

Inspired by Taylor Swift’s 10th Album, Midnights, this piece shows a still from the “Bejeweled” music video. The album was inspired by sleepless nights spent thinking so the portrait is set on a dark midnight blue background covered in rainbow stars. It depicts the iconic outfit from the music video where she wears a bustier covered in brightly colored gemstones. Famously, fans of Taylor searched in her multicolored jewelry and outfit for signs of what to look out for for her rereleases and new albums.

“Bejeweled” is an anthem of self assurance and finding confidence in yourself after a difficult breakup. The music video is loosely based off of a Cinderella story and ends with Taylor not needing any prince after all. She was inspired by classic burlesque outfits for the styling instead of classic princess style costuming which is reflected in the piece.

This piece was created by Cora B. Gallery for the Eras Collection in conjunction with Baubles by Bella Bella. It currently hangs in their foyer installment as part of the Cora B. Gallery artist in residency for the store. The piece is for sale along with the rest of the collection in store and on this website.
