CoraB x Baubles Fearless

$350.00

Fearless was written to be the first crossover album between country and pop and faced much criticism in 2008. It is the most awarded country album of all time including a Grammy for Album of the Year. This was the first album to be re-released in 2021 following her departure from Big Machine Records. The album was written to explore youthful love and heartbreak using various fairy-tale inspired imagery. Even though she was experiencing a meteoric increase in fame, Swift aimed to write the album to be geared toward the universal feelings of teenage girls and relatable experiences. In interviews Swift recounted, "I really try to write more about what I feel and guys and love because that's what fascinates me more than anything else – love and what it does to us and how we treat people and how they treat us. So pretty much every song on the album has a face that I associate with it."

The original album was fairy-tale inspired and featured her in the white dress described in the title track “Fearless” and the music video. The single “Today was a Fairytale” was released with the 2010 film Valentine's Day. For the “Love Story” music video, Swift featured her Romeo and Juliet inspired storyline. In the imagery for the re-record, Swift recreates the windblown locks and thrown head movement of the original cover art but in the other direction. Many have also noted that instead of the feminine styling of her outfit from the original album, Swift dons a silk shirt that is more akin to the styling of a prince in a fairytale.

The artwork displays this album cover with a gold framing of butterflies and flowers to evoke the movement and styling of a fairytale.
