Beyonce Knowles, now one of the most recognizable faces in the world, started out as the lead singer of the girl group Destiny’s Child, managed by her father. After a bevy of popular albums, she made history with her experimental visual album Lemonade that chronicled her own emotional journey after learning of her husband's infidelity as well as the generational and racial struggles that impacted her decision to stay in the marriage. The piece was inspired by the lemons from her incredible Lemonade album as well as small gold bees that represent her massive amount of fans being known as her “beyhive.”
