The Beatles started as a small boy band from Liverpool, England in the 1960’s. Members, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr became international icons and solidified popular music as a form of art. Their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was an innovation in songwriting and one of the first “concept albums.” The album was conceptualized as a performance of the fictional Sgt. Pepper band. The album cover was designed by famous pop artist of the time Peter Blake.
This 4 inches x 4 inches mini painting features The Beatles in their colorful military themed costumes from their 1967 album on a gold canvas with yellow and white accents.
